Coach Reference Information
Child Abuse Registration Applications Are no longer required
Beginning this season all rostered bench staff will require a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
All bench staff must register with St Vital through the Hockey Canada registry using Spordle. Only those invited to be part of a team's roster will require the records check.
Step one: Register and complete screening form.
When registering you will be required to completed a screening disclosure form. On the form all are asked to self declare if they have a Criminal record or are currently facing a Criminal charge .
Those who answer NO will be considered for Bench staff positions within the association.
For those who need to answer Yes to one of the questions in the screening Form will be referred to Hockey Manitoba, who will review the circumstances of your disclosure and determine if you can be considered to be a Bench staff member. Having a criminal record in itself does not preclude that you can not volunteer with Minor Hockey.
Should anyone misrepresent their circumstance on the screening form, and later disclose that they either have a criminal record or are currently facing criminal charges will immediately be ineligible to be a volunteer.
Step two: Team formation
Teams are formed in the usual way. Once teams are formed coaches and managers who are eligible will be placed on team rosters.
Only those on a roster will be asked to complete the Records Check
