U11 Hockey At SVMHA

Hello SVMHA Parents,

My name is Kevin Ostash, and I am excited to serve as the VP of U11 Co-ed hockey for the 2026/27 season. For those returning to U11 for a second season, welcome back. For those making the jump to U11, welcome to full ice hockey. I look forward to a fantastic year ahead!

With the hockey season quickly approaching, here are some key details about Pre-Season Skates and Evaluations:

Pre-Season Skates

• Start Date: Evening of Monday, September 8, 2026.
• All U11 players will be placed into five Pre-Season Groups, organized alphabetically.
• You will receive a TeamSnap invite with your child’s group assignment and first ice times. (Please refresh your TeamSnap app before emailing us with any issues)
• Each player will participate in three pre-season skates before evaluations.
• Groups will remain the same for evaluation day.

Evaluations

Testing will take place on September 13th

• Groups will carry forward from the Pre-Season Skates.
• Please review the Evaluation Flow Chart on the SVMHA website for a full overview of the process.
• St. Vital Minor will host a Zoom meeting on Wednesday, September 2, at 7:00 pm to walk through the evaluation process.

Jerseys & Socks

Please note that at U11 you are responsible for supplying jerseys (white and black) and socks (white and black sets) for your child. These can be purchased through the SVMHA Jersey and Apparel Store which will be open over the summer. Please see link below.
