Pre Season Camp

Camp Overview

August 21, 2023 – Sept 1, 2023

We will have a Max 28 skaters and 3 goalies for each group (Goalie coach will be provided). We will have a waiting list in case we can increase our camp numbers. Depending on demand we may open another camp.

These camps are open to players of all skills and abilities. (AAA, AA, and A level hockey)

The curriculum features skill development, hi-tempo and customized training sessions under the direction of exceptional coaches. Each session will focus on preparing your player for try-outs and evaluations with a strong focus on fundamental skills.

Cost $200.00 + GST + Team Snap Fee (7 - 1 hour sessions)

NO CAMP JERSEY WILL BE PROVIDED. FULL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPATING ATHLETES.

Specialty Camp - Developing Skilled Defense

Girls only groups and Boys groups are coached by Bernie Reichardt Director of Hockey Development, Hockey Manitoba.

Each day will be spent on ice developing and improving individual skills at the higher levels of hockey specific to the defense position. All on-ice sessions will be conducted at a high tempo and players are expected to arrive prepared. The camp will feature a positive ratio of one instructor to every eight players. This ratio will ensure quality attention and focus to each individual player and help to achieve maximum feedback. Our goal is to explain not only "how" but "why" skills are taught and refined and how they relate to your success in the game. The defense position is essential to team success and our goal is to prepare participants to take the next step in their hockey development.

Cost $205.00 + GST + Team Snap Fee (5 - 1hr 15 min sessions)

NO CAMP JERSEY WILL BE PROVIDED. FULL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPATING ATHLETES.

NO goalie training offered - Sessions will be during the day starting after 9am

4 on 4 Camp

Camp Overview

Camp Dates

September 4, 2023 – September 10, 2023

4 on 4 hockey features hockey as it was meant to be played: freewheeling and fast-paced, with limited whistles and no face-offs. The goal of the camp is to encourage creativity and give each player time to be conditioned and prepared for the upcoming Vics tryouts.

*No sessions on Sat & Sunday on the September long weekend.

• Play around the net both offensively and defensively

• Cardiovascular conditioning

Players Cost $100.00 + GST + Team Snap Fee (4 hours of game time) Goalies Cost $50.00 + GST (4 hours of game time) The goalie cost will be updated at checkout

Players must register in their own age category. Sessions will include a 10-minute warm-up and games will be 50 minutes in length (two 25 minute periods).  Sessions are made up of 26 skaters and four goalies, and set-up as evenly as possible based on skill level. Balancing moves are then made throughout the camp, to ensure that each team is equal in skill and age.

The 4 on 4 will be organized and observed by the current 2023/2024 Vics coaches. However, there will be no on-ice coaching as we want the participants to think outside of the box and be as creative as possible with their decision making. No body checking is allowed at any age level so that everyone, regardless of size, can focus on the enjoyment of the game.

All camps will be held out of St.Vital Arena 580 St Anne's RD.

Camp Schedules and Details

THE CAMP SCHEDULES LISTED ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Campers will be notified via email of any camp changes.

These camps are open to players of all skills and abilities. (AAA, AA, and A level hockey)

Camp registration will only be held in the lobby of St Vital Arena on the first session of each camp.

A website administration fee will be charged at checkout for each camp.

*CoVId Policy

We are anticipating our camps will be at full capacity in August and there will be no CoVid restrictions.    Please be prepared for sudden changes in arena health protocols. This includes camp roster sizes. If roster sizes have to be reduced all camp fees will be refunded.  All health protocols will be communicated to all camp attendees prior to the camp.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

In the event of a cancellation within 30 days prior to program commencing, there will be a $50 service fee charged for each session cancelled.

No refunds will be made after program commencing and credit for future camp(s) may be awarded in the event of a medical situation and written report provided by a physician.

Zero Tolerance Policy

The St Vital Victorias hockey program  has the right to expel any player from any on or off ice session, camp with no refund due to any behavioral issues including bullying, harassment, vandalism of property, or any distracting or disruptive behavior.
