U11 Hockey At SVMHA

PROGRAM INFORMATION

U11 Registration

Once you register you will be assigned to a Pre Season group for your pre season skates and testing.
Pre season skate will begin on August 24th and the testing date for U11 will be September 7th.   Special care was taken to allow us to select our teams faster to allow for some practices prior to the Rob West tournament which begins on or about Oct 19th.  All our teams will be entered into this tournament by SVMHA so teams managers do not need to worry about this.
Parent ZOOM Meeting   a zoom meeting will happen Prior to the start of the season,.
A messaage from Justin Leclair
"SVMHA Parents,
My name is Justin Leclair and I am the VP of U11 Co-ed hockey for the 2024/25 season. I am looking forward to a wonderful year! As the new hockey season is fast approaching, we wanted to share a few details about evaluations and the upcoming parent meeting.
SVMHA prides itself on creating a non-biased evaluation process that allows every child the opportunity to have four pre-season skates before being evaluated. You can find a flow chart of how the evaluation process will work in the Evaluation Section on the SVMHA website.
We will be hosting a parents' town hall meeting on Zoom on Wednesday, August 21st at 7:00 pm (tentatively). We will email out a Zoom link once we get closer to this date. We will walk through the pre-season skates, evaluation sessions, evaluation scrimmages, holding skates, as well as the season in general at this meeting.
The first ice time is currently scheduled for August 24th. Approximately 1 week before this, we will be creating Groups for the Pre-Season Skates. You will receive a TeamSnap invite to join this group, which will have your child’s first few ice times scheduled. Rest assured an email will be sent out once the Groups have been entered into TeamSnap.
We are seeking numerous parent volunteers to assist with the Pre-Season Skates. While there is no obligation to coach a team this season if you help at these skates, priority will be given to those who volunteer when it comes time to select coaches for our projected nine teams. Ideally, we need 4-6 coaches/volunteers for each session. Practice plans will be provided for all Pre-Season Skates.
If you are interested in helping with the pre-season skates, please contact me directly at svmhaleclair@gmail.com. Your participation will greatly assist in organizing balanced groups of volunteers and coaches.
If you have any questions or concerns at this time, please feel free to bring them up at the town hall or you can send me an email.

Thank you,
Justin Leclair
